“Answer me when I call, O God of my righteousness!
You have given me relief when I was in distress.
Be gracious to me and hear my prayer!”
(Ps 4:1 ESV)
Dear Christian Friends,
It is in the middle of the Bible – it is the book of Psalms. It is a prayer book, a hymnal, a journal of a child of God’s experience. It is one of the pastor’s tools in caring for people. When your heart is a mess and you don’t know where to go, it is a good place to start. Just read until you encounter a psalm and say, “That is exactly what I’m feeling and going through! God knows me! God understand me!”
For the next few weeks, I will be preaching on selected psalms.
Though summer beckons us to find a break from all our regular routines, let not worship of our God and attention to His message of love suffer neglect. God feeds and blesses us. Do not let it be suggested that churchgoing is a burden. He loves you!

Register online at http://www.poplc.ca/ or call 905-332-7671. You can also invite your friends on facebook! For more information, go online at poplc.ca, email mailto:popburl@bellnet.ca or call 905-332-7671. Registration forms are also available on the VBS table in the foyer.
Volunteers needed: At Tell It on the Mountain VBS, you will connect children with the most important message of their lifetime: the miraculous story of what Jesus did for us, what we could never do for ourselves. If you can help full or part time, we have many ways to be involved to suit your schedule and interests. Talk to Jenn Shack or e-mail her at jenn@poplc.ca . You can find a signup sheet on the VBS table in the foyer.

Ever wonder what would happen if we treated our Bible like we treat our cell phone?
- What if we carried it around in our purses or pockets?
- What if we flipped through it several time a day?
- What if we turned back to go get it if we forgot it?
- What if we used it to receive messages from the text?
- What if we treated it like we couldn’t live without it?
- What if we gave it to kids as gifts?
- What if we used it when we traveled?
- What if we used it in case of emergency?
Makes you think, …. “Hmm! Where is my Bible?”
Oh, and one more thing. Unlike our cell phone, we don’t have to worry about our Bible being disconnected because Jesus already paid the bill. And no dropped calls!
Makes you stop and think “Where are my priorities?”
When Jesus died on the cross, He was thinking of you!
The Lord be with you.
Yours in Christ Jesus,
