Call News Pastor Greg Johnson has declined the Call to Prince of Peace. A new date for the voter’s assembly will be determined and calls for nominations will be requested next Sunday. Please stay tuned for additional information.
Vacancy Pastor, Rev. Robert Krestick, will continue to lead us each Sunday in Bible Study and Worship. Rev. Mark Koehler will be leading the weekly Confirmation Class and will be assisting in visiting our sick and shut-ins. If you should have any Pastoral needs during this vacancy, please talk to an Elder. They will address your concerns to the appropriate Pastor.
Baptism This past Sunday, the congregation of Prince of Peace welcomed into their membership by baptism Sloane Sylvia. We pray that the Lord would give Sloane continued growth in her faith.
The Altar Guild is asking you to help with donations of fruit, flowers, pumpkins etc. for our Thanksgiving Worship display. Items can be left in the lounge up until October 6.
Harvest Day at the Seminary is October 20. If you plan to attend, please let the Ladies Guild know by October 7 and we will send in one registration for all. We will meet at the church to carpool to the Seminary.
Redeemer, Hamilton 95th Anniversary Celebration: On Sunday, October 21 at 2:00 pm, Redeemer Evangelical Lutheran Church in Hamilton (15 Wexford Ave. S.), will be celebrating her 95th anniversary with a special anniversary concert and hymn sing. Former pastors and sons and daughters of the congregation are especially invited to attend. After the concert refreshments will be served.
Baby Food Drive for Halton Alive: help us fill the food banks with baby food & formula. Help Halton Alive beat the 431 item goal from last year’s food drive. You can drop off items here at the church by October 8. Halton Alive is our local right to life group.
Come join the Halton Alive Life Chain next Sunday, September 30, at 2:30pm. A peaceful, silent witness in our community for the unborn. More details can be found on a poster in the foyer.
2019 Annual Budget : All groups are asked to submit their budget requests for 2019 to the office by September 30.
