“For what we proclaim is not ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord,
with ourselves as your servants for Jesus’ sake.”
(2 Corinthians 4:5 ESV)
Dear Christian Friends,
Greetings in the name of Jesus!
“Not ourselves but Jesus Christ” – what a wonderful confession of St. Paul – and of every Christian! Our boast is not in what we can do or what we have done. It is about what Jesus has done for us. Jesus is Lord as the One who is victor over our sin by His suffering and death, paying the penalty for it all. Jesus is Lord as the One who is victor of death by His powerful resurrection.
Certainly we want to honour God with the life and love we show to the world. But the witness of the Church is never about showing how wonderful each of us can be. Our witness is about the goodness of God who loved and served us sinners to redeem us and to make us participants in His work in the world.
God’s peace to you in Christ Jesus, our Lord!

The day includes a 5km walk, BBQ lunch, and speakers. Every year 100,000 lives are lost to abortion in Canada. Such a number of human lives lost is staggering.
