Vacancy Pastor Rev. Robert Krestick, continues to lead us each Sunday in Bible Study and Worship. Rev. James Schnarr is teaching confirmation and visiting shut-ins. Pastor Call Notes On Sunday April 7 the voters assembly of Prince of Peace elected a new Pastor to serve as our shepherd. Rev. Glenn Worcester is currently serving the congregation of Peace Lutheran Church in Winnipeg, Manitoba. He has been the associate Pastor at Peace Lutheran Church since 2012. Please keep Pastor Worcester and his congregation in Winnipeg in your prayers as he contemplates this call to Prince of Peace in Burlington.

Eric Lemberg Funeral A Christian funeral service will be held on Saturday April 20, 2019 at 11:00 am at Prince of Peace Lutheran church. Reception following. Details to be determined. The body will be resting at Smith’s Funeral Home on Guelph Line. Visitation will take place on Wednesday, April 17th in the evening from 7 pm – 9 pm at the funeral home.
Busy Bees are looking for round neck T-shirts (men’s or women’s, long or short sleeves) to be made into boys’ shorts, and men’s dress shirts (long or short sleeves) to be made into hospital gowns, and also hand towels. Donations can be left in the basket in the coatroom.
March for Life, Ottawa – Lutherans for Life Canada is encouraging LCC and LCMS congregations to attend the March for Life on Parliament Hill in Ottawa on Thursday, May 9 at 12 noon. All are welcome at a pre-march breakfast and a 10am Prayer Service led by Rev. Richard Juritsch at St. Luke Lutheran Church, 326 MacKay St., Ottawa. Contact Rev. Men’s Street Ministry meets face-to-face with the homeless and less fortunate in downtown Hamilton, distributing soup, sandwiches, snacks, beverages and clothing to those in need, and showing God’s love to those they meet along the way. They need donations of Clothing: hoodies, coats, sweatpants, socks, underwear, belts, running shoes, boots, and rain gear. Bedding: sleeping bags, blankets. A box will be in the coat room for your kind donations.
Seminary Food Drive – Twice a year Prince of Peace members support the Seminary students by filling their Food Pantry. All donations are appreciated. Support the Seminary students by filling their Food Pantry. A collection bin can be found at the top of the stairs. Guild Day is April 27 and all donations will be taken to the Seminary on that day. Spaghetti Dinner and Baked Goods Live Auction: Come hungry to Prince of Peace on Saturday, May 25, beginning at 5:00 pm. This Spaghetti Dinner will be a Youth fundraiser for their goal to attend the National Youth Gathering in Langley, B.C. There will also be a baked-goods live auction. Cost is $15 for adults, $10 for kids 7-12 years of age and kids 6 and under are free. Tickets will be available in the church lobby next week.
In your prayers, please remember those who mourn, those being treated for cancer, and all of our elderly and shut-in friends and family as they contend with the challenges of poor health.
