Divine Call Information On Sunday January 26, 2020, PoP voters elected to call a graduating Candidate from one of the Lutheran Seminaries. The process is in the hands of LCC leaders who decide where candidates receive their first call. We will have to be patient since it will be late May when the Candidates are assigned. Please pray for all of the Candidates as well as our church leaders. If you have questions concerning this process please talk to one of the elders or Pastor Krestick.
Vacancy Pastor Rev. Robert Krestick, continues to lead us each Sunday in Bible Study and Worship Service. Rev. James Schnarr is visiting shut-ins and teaching the Confirmation Class. We appreciate and thank them for offering to help us out during this vacancy. If you should have any Pastoral needs during our vacancy, please contact one of our elders. They will address your needs and concerns to the appropriate Pastor.
Joyful Seniors on Wednesday March 11, will feature guest speaker Rev. Peter Gatluak. Pastor Gatluak is Missionary-at-Large of the Eastern Region of LCC and has been a Missionary-at-Large to the Sudanese Lutheran Mission based at Pilgrim since May 2009. Please join us at 1:00 pm. Busy Bees are putting together Learning & Living Kits for Canadian Lutheran World Relief. Each kit will contain 3 lined notebooks, 10 unsharpened pencils with erasers, 1 metric ruler, 1 pencil sharpener, 1 eraser, 1 small pack of crayons or pencil crayons, 1 simple toy that is new and doesn’t require batteries, as well as 1 tube toothpaste, 1 toothbrush and 1 bar of soap. A display and collection box can be found in the narthex.
Men’s Street Ministry meets face-to-face with the homeless and less fortunate in downtown Hamilton. At this time of year they need donations of Clothing: hoodies, coats, sweatpants, socks, underwear, belts, running shoes, boots, backpacks and rain gear, and Bedding: sleeping bags, blankets. A box will be in the coat room for your kind donations.
Ash Wednesday: The service of communion and the imposition of ashes will begin at 7:00pm on Wednesday, February 26. We will also be offering a potluck soup & sandwich supper before the service, beginning at 6:00 pm. This will make it easier to come from work to Prince of Peace and participate in the beginning of our observance of Christ’s Passion.

Lenten Prayer Service: Niagara Zone LWMLC is holding a Lenten Prayer Service on Sunday March 8 at 2:30 pm at Christ Our Saviour Lutheran Church (448 Main Street E, Grimsby). While this event is sponsored by LWML-C, everyone is invited. Offering will be for Medical Missions.

Seminary Food Drive – Twice a year we are encouraged to support the Seminary students by filling their Food Pantry. All donations are appreciated. A collection bin can be found at the top of the stairs at the back entrance to the church.
