POP E-News is still changing! You will notice some changes in format, how the E-News is distributed and how we format content. We’re still working out how exactly we will continue to publish the E-News in order to keep you informed.
POP Re-Opening – not quite yet! |
On June 8 Premier Ford announced that Places of Worship could reopen effective June 12 with a number of restrictions (which may be inspected by officials at any time). We are thankful and gladdened by the news that we have been permitted to use our building once again, and that the allowed number of worshipers is based on building capacity rather than an arbitrary number. At this time the government has indicated that more information will follow. Although we knew that re-opening would come at some point, the announcement came somewhat unexpectedly and all of the required precautions were not known in advance. As such, we are not rushing to re-open for June 14th. For the time being we will continue to operate in an online mode while working through the logistics and requirements for a full or hybrid re-opening (including the challenges of being both online and in-person since we know not all of our members will be comfortable worshiping together just yet). We are probably a couple of weeks away from in-building worship, but we’re working on it. Stay tuned!
Our Weekly Online Activities
- Our Sunday 9:00 am Bible Study is on Zoom at 9:00 am. The meeting number, link to join and phone numbers are the same every week. If there is ever a need (technical or otherwise) to change any of this information we will send out a note highlighting the change.
- Sundays at 10:00 am YouTube makes the new worship service available to be viewed. The new videos are launched at 10:00 am but can be played at any time after that. Although we are in the habit of emailing out the specific link to the Sunday service, it is not required. You can access the Prince of Peace YouTube channel via https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCe8oJzS78LhezWHetoPeePQ at any time. You will be offered all of the videos we have archived there, with any new videos shown at the top. You can also SUBSCRIBE to the channel and turn on notifications – you will be automatically notified when we post any new content. One click from there and you’ll be playing the new video!
- Sundays at 10:30 am we offer an audio-only playback of the YouTube service via telephone for those without access to technology. If you are interested in this, or know someone who might be, please let us know.
