Sunday Mornings
Christian Education Hour starting 9:00AM
Divine Service starting 10:30AM
“I was glad when they said to me,
‘Let us go to the house of the Lord!'”
Ontario remains in Step Three of the Roadmap to Reopen. While we will not turn anyone away from the Lord’s house, we do ask that you CONTACT THE CHURCH OFFICE to register your attendance at the 10:30AM Sunday Divine Service. You may reach the office at (905) 332-7671 or send an email to office@poplc.ca. For those who regularly attend each Sunday, your attendance will automatically be assumed unless otherwise noted to the contrary.
Please continue to be mindful of the masking and distancing requirements still in effect, even with the government’s loosening of restrictions. We are working to ensure that there is enough room for all who desire to attend the Divine Service.
During Holy Communion, members of the same family “bubble” (i.e. Husband and Wife; Parents and Children) may approach (in pilgrim style, as we have been doing) and receive Holy Communion together. We look forward to the day when we can once again kneel at the Communion rail to receive the Lord’s holy and precious body and blood, given and shed for the forgiveness of sins.
If you are unable to attend in person you are encouraged to:
- subscribe to our YouTube channel
- watch for specific service information and links in POP:Connect
- us our phone service at (855) 779-1517 (you can sign up to receive a phone call when worship begins)
You may reach the office at (905) 332-7671 or office@poplc.ca

Christian Education Hour:
“A Prophet Serves” is the title for this coming Sunday’s lesson. Having been raised in the tabernacle from the time he was a young child, Samuel continues to serve Eli the priest. One night, Samuel runs to Eli, thinking Eli is calling his name. Eli sends Samuel back to bed, assuring him he had not called. As the pattern repeats, Eli tells Samuel to lie down once again but then next time respond, “Speak, Lord, for Your servant hears” (1 Samuel 3:9). When the Lord calls once again, He gives Samuel a vision of how Samuel will succeed Eli rather than Eli’s “worthless” sons.

Christmas is Coming… But first, Advent!
The daily Advent devotion booklet from Lutheran Hour Ministries is now available in the narthex. Each year Christians reflect on the hope God offers the world at Christmas. Born unto us–God’s Son, our Saviour–Jesus is the fulfillment of the Father’s promise to send a Redeemer. Announced beforehand by the prophets, in the Christ Child we have the Child of Promise; in Him we have the forgiveness of sins and the hope of eternal life. These brief devotions are perfect for personal reflection or to share with family and friends, and will help prepare you to celebrate the true meaning of the season. Pick up your copy this Sunday!
