Looking Ahead
Plans are underway for the resumption of our Christian Education Hour this fall. As the Lord wills it, we will resume on Sunday September 12 at 9AM. More details to follow.
Plans are also underway to begin a new round of Catechism (Confirmation) class, more information to come on this as well.
As with all things affected by COVID our plans are subject to change based on a variety of factors. We are working to get “back to normal” safely.
In your personal and/or family devotions this week, you might consider looking ahead to the propers, or readings for Sunday, August 22. They are: Isaiah 29:11-19; Psalm 14; Ephesians 5:22-33; and Mark 7:1-13, and the Hymn of the Day will be LSB 865 – Lord, Help Us Ever to Retain.

In your Prayers
Please remember
- those in mourning, those being treated for cancer, those recovering from surgery, those who have tested positive with COVID-19,
- our elderly and shut-in friends, all those under doctor’s care, and all those separated from family due to the COVID-19 restrictions.
- For those suffering with anxiety, depression, and those who are unemployed or underemployed. Those coping with the chances and changes of life.
- For persecuted Christians the world over; that they would hold fast to the Lord in the faith once delivered to the saints even in the face of prison and death.
- For our brothers and sisters in Haiti, and for that nation as they deal with the aftermath of the recent earthquake.
- For our inactive members, that the Holy Spirit would kindle in them a desire for our Lord and His Communion in this place.
Supporting My Home Congregation in Difficult TimesThe expenses of the church continue through this pandemic. The support of congregation members is necessary. There are three ways to make financial contributions to Prince of Peace at this time: 1. LCC Web site 2. Monthly EFT 3. Personal Cheque Heavenly Father, You have richly blessed us through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Accept our offerings and use them to Your glory. Amen. |
