News:
Thank you! I am humbled by your love expressed last Sunday on the occasion of my 60th birthday. The card and the commemorative medallion are wonderful. The medallion is two-sided with Luther’s Seal on one side. On the other side is rendition of the Old Latin School in Wittenburg which is being restored in preparation of the 500th anniversary celebration of the Reformation in 2017 (Check out The Wittenburg Project online by clicking here). The Lord has blessed me so much with life & all its temporal gifts, faith in Jesus, family and you! Again, thank you!
Gifts from the Heart: Gifts purchased from the Canadian Lutheran World Relief’s 2014-15 Gifts from the Heart catalogue demonstrate how God’s love and compassion lives in His people. There are also gifts in the catalogue that support Lutheran Church–Canada mission activity. Check out their descriptive videos on their website. Click here . “Gifts from the Heart” catalogue booklets are in the lobby.
Christmas items needed – As part of Prince of Peace’s Family Christmas on Sunday, December 14, the Ladies Guild will have a table of Christmas crafts, gently used ornaments, working tree lights, etc. available to purchase by donation. If you have anything ‘Christmassy’ to add to the collection, it can be left by the cupboard area in the basement.
