Vacancy Pastor Rev. Robert Krestick, continues to lead us each Sunday in Bible Study and Worship. Rev. James Schnarr is teaching confirmation and visiting shut-ins. We appreciate and thank them for offering to help us out during this vacancy. If you should have any Pastoral needs during our vacancy, please contact one of our Elders. They will address your concerns to the appropriate Pastor.
Pastor Krestick will be on vacation for the next two weeks. Pastor James Schnarr will be leading our services during this time. We pray for safe travel for both Pastor Krestick and his wife, Elizabeth.
Pastor Call Notes On Sunday April 7t, the voter’s assembly of Prince of Peace unanimously elected a new Pastor to serve as our shepherd. Rev. Glenn Worcester is currently serving the congregation of Peace Lutheran Church in Winnipeg Manitoba. We wait patiently for his decision and know that God’s will, will be done in due course. Please continue to pray for Pastor Worcester and the members of Faith Lutheran Church in Winnipeg.
Calling all Bakers – Do you like to bake? Do you have a favourite recipe? If so, would you like to donate an item to our live Baked Goods Auction? Please contact us if you are interested.
Spaghetti Dinner and Baked Goods Live Auction: Come hungry to Prince of Peace on Saturday, May 25, beginning at 5:00 pm. This Spaghetti Dinner will be a Youth fundraiser for their goal to attend the National Youth Gathering in Langley, B.C. There will also be a baked-goods live auction. Cost is $15 for adults, $10 for kids 7-12 years of age and kids 6 and under are free. Tickets will be available in the church lobby next week.
Busy Bees are looking for round neck T-shirts (men’s or women’s, long or short sleeves) to be made into boys’ shorts, and men’s dress shirts (long or short sleeves) to be made into hospital gowns, and also hand towels. Donations can be left in the basket in the coatroom.
March for Life, Ottawa – Lutherans for Life Canada is encouraging LCC and LCMS congregations to attend the March for Life on Parliament Hill in Ottawa on Thursday, May 9 at 12 noon. All are welcome at a pre-march breakfast and a 10am Prayer Service led by Rev. Richard Juritsch at St. Luke Lutheran Church, 326 MacKay St., Ottawa. Contact Rev.
