There you will find devotions, sermons and Bible Studies for individual Christian growth, Take advantage of these resources while we do not have the ability to worship together at this time.
Portals of Prayer: If you go to https://www1.cph.org/portals/portals-of-prayer-app.aspx, you can purchase an annual digital version of Portals of Prayer for $10 or $18 for two years. Unfortunately, this digital version does not provide the daily and special day prayers found at the end of the paper version. If you would like to get a hard copy of Portals of Prayer you may call the office and we will arrange to get a copy to you.

Amid this current crisis which is affecting the lives of everyone, your church council continues to monitor and provide resources that help our Christian members and friends maintain a relationship with Jesus. The council will continue to meet every two weeks via Zoom video conferencing. Some of the issues discussed during this week’s meeting were:
- Pastor Krestick continues to provide his Sunday morning messages from his home. The Sunday morning service on YouTube continues to be enhanced weekly. Please check your e-mail for access information to be provided when available. Members without internet access can listen to the sermons via telephone.
- Holy Communion – A special announcement was sent out on May 22nd outlining a plan to provide Holy Communion to our members on Saturday May 30th. Please review that announcement and make arrangements accordingly. A follow up announcement was sent on Monday May 25th.
- Pastor Schnarr has now indicated that our Confirmand has completed his 2 years of catechism lessons and is ready to be confirmed. Unfortunately, due to COVID-19 we are unable to celebrate this wonderful occasion with him in a community worship service. The Rite of Confirmation will take place this coming Sunday, May 31st, Pentecost Sunday, with Pastor Schnarr presiding and the Confirmand’s mother and father in attendance.
- Bible study on Sunday mornings at 9:00 am continues. Access is available via telephone to those without internet accessibility. Please join us:

- Hymnals: With the Sunday service on-line, you may wish to follow along with the Lutheran Service Book (hymnal). If you wish to borrow a hymnal, we will arrange to get it to you. Call the office 905-332-7671.
- Financial Issues: The church’s expenses continue through this pandemic. The support of congregation members is necessary. There are ways allowing you to continue your support of your congregation. The following options are available to you.
a. Through the LCC website: “Supporting – my – Home – Congregation – in – Difficult –Times”
b. By Electronic Fund Transfer Authorization through Lutheran East District
c. By personal cheque

Men’s Street Ministry Due to the shelters shutting down their kitchens Roger is going to the streets delivering 100 Bag lunches daily. If anyone is interested in helping make these bagged lunches please contact the church (office@poplc.ca) and we will put you in touch with Roger.
In your prayers, please remember those being treated for cancer, those recovering from surgery, those who have tested positive with COVID-19, our elderly and shut-in friends, those in mourning, and all those separated from family due to the Covid-19 restrictions.
