Join us for Worship at PoP This Sunday
We are worshiping in the Sanctuary on Sunday at 9:00 AM.
Commencing September 13
Sundays @ prince of Peace
9:00 am Christian Education Hour
10:30 am Worship Service
What to Expect as we Return to Worshiping in the Sanctuary
What to expect on the day:
- Halton region restrictions indicate that congregations are not to sing (subject to change based on public health requirements/recommendations)
- Printed orders of service. Take these with you when you leave. (Hymnals will be phased back into use)
- No use of coat room.
Those participating are asked to remember the following:
- Do not come to church if you are felling ill; you will be asked to verify your health status before entering the church building
- You will need to wear a mask – please bring your own. We will have a small supply, should you forget
- Enter and exit through the front doors
- Refrain from socializing while inside the building.
- Please be patient with ushers, greeters and others who are assisting. We are all learning new ways of doing things.
- Maintain 6 foot separation from others at all times
We understand completely if you are not yet feeling ready to attend service. This is not to pressure, but to provide awareness and an invitation to those who are ready and able to attend.
We look forward to seeing those who are able to come to service in the coming weeks.

Choir Update
The choir has been on hiatus since March 8, 2020. Rehearsals will not resume until a reliable and safe vaccine has been made available to all of us. Therefore, we should expect that there will be no choir until well into the New Year, and perhaps not until late Spring, 2021, or beyond. In the meantime, choir members – and those who are thinking of joining the choir – are asked to please keep Wednesday evenings (6:40 – 8:00 p.m.) open so that we are ready for the restart, whenever it comes. soli deo gloria

Glory be to God
It is with great thanks to our Lord we would like to announce that the Vicar Zakel family have purchased a home . They will be moving into their new home at the end of October .
In your prayers, please remember those being treated for cancer, those recovering from surgery, and our elderly and shut-in friends. Please remember all those under doctor’s care, those who have tested positive with COVID-19, all those separated from family due to the COVID-19 restrictions, the relentless efforts of our front line workers, and members of Prince of Peace as we return to worship in the sanctuary. Restore Canada and the world in health and livelihood, and preserve us from pestilence and fear.

PoP History Update
As we approach the celebration of 60 years we’ve been taking a look back at the history of PoP. We’ve found a couple of documents prepared for earlier milestone celebrations (stay tuned, as they say). Do you fancy yourself an author or historian? Would you like to contribute to writing an outline of the last 20 years or so of POP’s history? If “yes” (or even “maybe”), please contact craig.lemon@poplc.ca

Lutheran Hour Ministries: When you go to www.lhm.org you will find many different Christian resources to feed your desire to bring life in Christ closer to you. There you will find devotions, sermons and Bible Studies for individual Christian growth, Take advantage of these resources while we do not have the ability to worship together at this time.
Portals of Prayer: If you go to https://www1.cph.org/portals/portals-of-prayer-app.aspx, you can purchase an annual digital version of Portals of Prayer for $10 or $18 for two years. Unfortunately, this digital version does not provide the daily and special day prayers found at the end of the paper version. If you would like to get a hard copy of Portals of Prayer you may call the office and we will arrange to get a copy to you.
