Worship at PoP This Sunday
Please see the article “What to Expect” below concerning some things you can expect if you come to Prince of Peace this Sunday.
Our Christian education hour will start at 9AM and Sunday worship will begin at 10:30AM.
To worship online with us this week you may access our YouTube service any time after 9AM on Sunday October 4th: https://youtu.be/Sbn5Xk5C0X0
What to Expect as we Worship in the Sanctuary
What to expect on the day:
- Halton region restrictions indicate that congregations are not to sing (subject to change based on public health requirements/recommendations)
- Printed orders of service. Take these with you when you leave.
- No use of coat room.
Those participating are asked to remember the following:
- Do not come to church if you are feeling ill; you will be asked to verify your health status before entering the church building
- You will need to wear a mask – please bring your own. We will have a small supply, should you forget
- Enter and exit through the front doors
- Refrain from socializing while inside the building.
- Please be patient with ushers, greeters and others who are assisting. We are all learning new ways of doing things.
- Maintain 6′ separation from others at all times
We understand completely if you are not yet feeling ready to attend service. This is not to pressure, but to provide awareness and an invitation to those who are ready and able to attend.
We look forward to seeing those who are able to come to service in the coming weeks.

Personal Cheque Heavenly Father, You have richly blessed us through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Accept our offerings and use them to Your glory. Amen. |

Dear Brothers and Sisters of our Prince of Peace
We have received a very generous anonymous donation, with the express purpose of providing each household at Prince of Peace with a copy of the Lutheran Service Book (LSB) hymnal at no cost to you. For the many presently watching the Sunday worship service at home, this will allow you to follow the liturgy and participate together with all the saints as they sing the hymns in praise and prayer to our Triune God. In addition, the hymnal is a great resource that can be used daily in personal and family devotion and meditation, alongside the Bible and Small Catechism. Please contact the church office (905-332-7671 or office@poplc.ca) before October 31 to reserve a copy for your household. We intend to order from CPH, hopeful for a delivery sometime in November.
Food for the Seminary
To God the glory with thanksgiving and praise! It took us over 45 minutes to unload all the Thanksgiving Seminary Pantry Food donations yesterday. A blessed thank you for all your donations. The Seminary was jubilant! Next project: Christmas. The Seminary will forward a “wish list” of items they need most in their pantry. This way it makes shopping a little easier. Thanks again and we may be a small congregation, but God has given us a BIG heart, soul, and mind to serve Him. God has given our PoP family so many blessings. We believe we are here together because that is His plan. Thanks be to God. God’s blessings on your day.
Team Zion Nicaragua
Due to travel restrictions and overall safety precautions raised as a result of the Global pandemic, Team Zion is unable to go to Nicaragua in January 2021. With no travel, no tourism, airports and borders closed, tens of thousands of Nicaraguan people are out of work. The country has been reeling from the political unrest in 2018 and did not have time to recover before Covid-19 hit. Our goal is to raise $15,000 by December 31, 2020 to provide food for the people we have come to love as brothers and sisters in Christ. Donations made out to Team Zion can be given to Prince of Peace, or sent c/o Redeemer Lutheran Church, 78 John St. Waterloo, Ontario. N2L 1B8.
PoP Annual Report for 2021
We will be distributing the Annual Report two weeks before the Annual General Meeting which is scheduled for November 22. All groups and individuals are asked to submit reports to office@poplc.ca by October 31. Thank you

In your prayers, please remember those being treated for cancer, those recovering from surgery, those who have tested positive with COVID-19, our elderly and shut-in friends, all those under doctor’s care, and all those separated from family due to the COVID-19 restrictions, our Vicar-elect David Zakel and our Vacancy Pastor, Pastor Krestick. Restore Canada and the world in health and livelihood, and preserve us from pestilence and fear.
