A Prayer during Pandemic
Almighty God, heavenly Father, give us grace to trust You during this time of illness and distress. In mercy put an end to the pandemic that afflicts us. Grant relief to those who suffer, and comfort all that mourn. Sustain all medical personnel in their labors. Graciously spare us those punishments which we by our sins have deserved, and cause Your people ever to serve You in righteousness and holiness; through Jesus Christ, our Lord, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.

A New Way to Worship by Phone
We have launched a new way to join our worship service via telephone if you (or someone you know) are unable to view our services on YouTube.
1 (855) 779-1517 TOLL FREE in NORTH AMERICA
This service relays the audio from our YouTube services to standard telephones. This system can also be set up to call you when our service starts. All you need to do is answer!
You can call this number any time 24×7. By default you will be connected to a replay of the previous service. There are a couple of options you will be prompted with:
- press 1 to subscribe to receive a phone call whenever we go LIVE. (This same process is used if you currently receive a call and you no longer wish to be called)
- press 2 to choose from a library of up to 9 recorded services from the past (we only have two available right now)
- stay on the line to listen to the most recent recording.
If you call in while we’re live you will be connected directly to the live stream.
Give it a try! The sound quality is best from an old school land line phone. Please note that sometimes our YouTube feed is showing video content but there is no sound (e.g. a copyright message, order of service, etc…) Please be patient.
If you or anyone you know would benefit from worship via telephone, feel free to share this information. Our service can accommodate up to 100 simultaneous callers. If possible, a note to office@poplc.ca would be appreciated but is not required.

Lenten Devotions
The Lutheran Hour Ministries Lenten devotion booklet The Marks of Love is now available! Following the narrative of Mark’s Gospel, “The Marks of Love” explores the life and ministry of Jesus. The tragedy of Golgotha is met with the triumph of the resurrection on Easter morning. Along the way, we learn of Jesus’ deep compassion for those He loved and served, including those who put Him to death. Sharing Lenten devotions can be a way to reach out to family and friends who do not know the Saviour or celebrate Easter. Booklets are available to collect at the church, or download at www.lhm.org/dailydevotions

In your prayers, please remember those in mourning, those being treated for cancer, those recovering from surgery, those who have tested positive with COVID-19, our elderly and shut-in friends, all those under doctor’s care, and all those separated from family due to the COVID-19 restrictions, our Vicar-elect David Zakel, our Vacancy Pastor Robert Krestick, and Rev. James Schnarr. Restore Canada and the world in health and livelihood, and preserve us from pestilence and fear.
