In-Person Worship
So that we may abide by the government’s current health mandates, including guidelines regarding capacity (15%), we ask and encourage those intending to join us for in-person worship to call or email the church office and register attendance in advance.
Our regular Sunday morning Christian education hour continues to be paused, and will resume when we are able to do so safely. In the meantime, if you want to dig into the Lord’s word with us, join us for our Saturday morning Bible study via Zoom.
Information on how to log on to our on-line worship services and Bible study is provided in our weekly POP:Connect email.
Ladies Bible Study
The next Ladies Bible Study will be on Tuesday April 13 and April 27 (and continuing every other Tuesday) at 7:00 PM. Anyone interested in joining the Bible study please contact the office and we will refer you to the link.
Tapestry Subscription Renewal
Tapestry is a faith-based magazine written by women for women and is published quarterly by the LWML-Canada. Its stated purpose is to ‘weave women together in Christ.’ The magazine is printed four times a year and if you would like to receive it, we are collecting $15 for the annual subscription, beginning with Fall 2021 edition. It is also available in large print for the same rate of $15. The digital and MP3 subscriptions are $8 each. Deadline for renewal is April 30.
LCC One-Time Special Publication “Together, One”
Lutheran Church–Canada (LCC) has released a one-time special publication, entitled Together, One. It’s like a Lutheran Church–Canada family photo album, highlighting the people and organizations collectively serving as the body of Christ across the Lutheran landscape in Canada. Learn more about LCC’s commissions, committees, auxiliaries, listed service organization and more! Copies are available in the narthex.
In your prayers
Please remember those in mourning, those being treated for cancer, those recovering from surgery, those who have tested positive with COVID-19, our elderly and shut-in friends, all those under doctor’s care, and all those separated from family due to the COVID-19 restrictions, our Vicar-elect David Zakel, our Vacancy Pastor Robert Krestick, and Rev. James Schnarr. Restore Canada and the world in health and livelihood, and preserve us from pestilence and fear.
Supporting My Home Congregation in Difficult TimesThe expenses of the church continue through this pandemic. The support of congregation members is necessary. There are three ways to make financial contributions to Prince of Peace at this time: 1. LCC Web site 2. Monthly EFT 3. Personal Cheque Heavenly Father, You have richly blessed us through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Accept our offerings and use them to Your glory. Amen. |
