“Praise the LORD!
I will give thanks to the LORD with my whole heart,
in the company of the upright, in the congregation.
Great are the works of the LORD,
studied by all who delight in them.”
(Psalm 111:1-2 ESV)
Dear Christian Friends,
Won’t you come and give thanks to the Lord “in the congregation” with me this Sunday? I have problems – so do you – and we could feel sorry for ourselves “till the cows come home” and it wouldn’t change a thing. But as Christians in hospital tell me all the time, “I just look around and think, ‘It could always be worse!’” Some of the people who have said these words to me have had it pretty bad, and yet they say, “It could always be worse!”
Yes, there are so many things that the Lord is doing to preserve us day by day. And in addition, He daily forgives all of our sins and promises one day that Jesus will come and wipe away every tear and bring us into His heavenly and perfect Kingdom.
Indeed, Let us “give thanks to the LORD with (our) whole heart(s), in the company of the upright, in the congregation.” See you Sunday, Lord willing.

Free and Joyous Response
During the Sundays of November we will taking a journey entitled “Free & Joyous Response.” It will be all about God’s gifts of love to us, the happy effect those gifts have upon us, and how they change our lives for the better.
Free & Joyous Response involves not only the Sunday service but also Bible studies. Are you saying, “I don’t do Bible study!”? Well, you could for a mere 4 weeks. There will be 3 opportunities for you to get on board:
- Sunday @ 9:00am – The Adult Bible Class
- Tuesday @ 9:30am – The Tuesday Bible Study
- Monday @ 7:00pm – A special evening Bible study just for November for F&JR
Watch for upcoming opportunities to sign up for your involvement in “Free & Joyous Response” that begins November 10. Remember, Prince of Peace congregation is not “them” – it is “us!” Let’s do this together!
It will culminate with a Consecration Sunday & Luncheon on December 1. Save the date! More information will be forthcoming.
